I'm Freaking Starving. And I Could Use A Drink!

"I’m freaking STARVING! And I could use a drink!"

Fear not travelers! There are plenty of places to eat and imbibe on the island.

Avalon Grille
Owned by the same chef who is catering Sean and Maria’s wedding, Avalon Grille serves delicious American cuisine.  We highly recommend any of the fish of the day dishes!  The restaurant has a full bar and is also vegan and vegetarian friendly.  Make a reservation – seats fill quickly in the summer.

CC Gallagher
A Sean and Maria favorite Catalina hot spot!
Best hummus in town!  The coffee and pastries are delicious.  The food is fabulous!  The wine and craft beers and sake are excellent. And the nick knacks are super fun to peruse! Even the tiling outside is fun!

Lobster Trap
Surprisingly delish fish in a super kitchy atmosphere.  Feeling adventurous?  Sean and Maria recommend the Monkey Balls. (ahi stuffed mushroom tempura)

Descanso Beach Club
Have a salad or a burger delivered directly to your beach towel while you sip a cocktail and gaze at the ocean!  It is the perfect spot for casual beach dining.

El Galleon
The best (and only) Mardi Gras themed restaurant on the island! Stick to the calamari, fries, and burgers as far food choices, but it is Sean and Maria’s pick for the best Bloody Mary on the island.

Catalina Island Brew House
Need a cup of Joe to start your day?  Swing by Catalina Island Brew House for a delicious blend.  They also offer a fantastic tea selection, delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and an extensive variety of craft beers.

Mi Casita
Craving classic Mexican cuisine served with a view of the ocean in the best (and only) 1950s themed restaurant in town?  Mi Casita is the place for you.  It’s a great location for large parties, families, and Elvis fans.

M Café
The M Café is Catalina’s only pop-up restaurant that features a rotating seasonal menu using different ingredients found daily at Long Beach farmer’s markets.  If you can get a seat at one of their lunches or dinners, be sure to try M Café!

The Bluewater Grill
If it’s fish you want, it’s fish you’ll get!  There are always new fish of the day specials, and the swordfish is cooked to perfection!

Luau Larry’s
Catalina’s best (and only) Tiki Bar. AKA Sean and Maria’s kryptonite. What can we say – we love bamboo. Enjoy a “Wicky Wacker” for us and please, wear the complimentary Wicky Wacker hat to the wedding.

The Marlin Club
What can we say. It’s good ole fashioned “dive” fun!

Von’s
Packing a picnic?  Have access to a kitchen in your hotel?  Need some bottles of water, wine, or snacks for the beach?  Forgot your toothbrush? Don’t fret. There is a (yes, only one) grocery store in Avalon for your every need.

Still not satisfied? Here’s a list of nearly every restaurant on the island!
We also recommend checking out the fish and chips served on the boardwalk, and the fantastic taco truck/stand that occasionally appears near the miniature golf course.
