August is the peak season for Catalina tourism and hotel rooms WILL go quickly.
If you are planning to book a hotel room, a bungalow, a campsite, condo, a cottage, or any accommodation of any kind on the island, DO IT NOW!
All wedding guests can receive 15% off hotel rooms at both The Pavilion Hotel and Hotel Atwater. Ask for the “wedding rate” when you call to book your room. Let them know you are attending a wedding at the Casino on the evening of August 16th.

The Pavilion Hotel (ask for the wedding discount)
Enjoy the relaxing sound and view of the waves while sitting around a fire ring from your hotel courtyard. Have a complimentary croissant and cup of tea in your very own chaise and gaze at the ships approaching the Avalon dock. Walk across the road and sit on the beach with your complimentary cheese and wine as the sun sets! Pavilion Hotel is located on the beach in the center of town and in easy walking proximity to the Casino.
Hotel Atwater (ask for the wedding discount)
Great location! Great price! And great accommodations! Hotel Atwater is a in walking distance to the Casino and all the restaurants in town. If a room with a harbor view is available, definitely request it! You won’t regret waking up to the view of the ocean! There is a convenient store located across the street in case you want to stock your room with snacks. The hotel also caters to adventurous types. (Yes, there are outdoor showers for all you scuba divers!)
Catalina Canyon Resort & Spa

There’s a pool, there’s a jacuzzi, there’s a restaurant. It’s affordable, clean, friendly, and fun! Yes, it’s a 15 minute walk outside of the main drag of town, but there is a shuttle service that runs throughout the day. There is also a shuttle that runs from the boat dock and helicopter port. The hotel will store your luggage for you if you arrive before check-in, or if you want to explore the island in between check-out and your ferry departure!
Hamilton Cove Vacation Rentals
Hamilton Cove Villas are located 1 mile from the heart of Avalon. The villas can house 2-8 people. Complimentary use of a golf cart is included in the rental. Amenities include: Amenities in Hamilton Cove include lighted tennis courts, 18-hole putting course, English croquet lawn court, sand volleyball court, private dock and beaches with barbecues, three-story clubhouse with expansive pool deck overlooking the ocean, spa, two saunas, and a fitness center with dressing rooms and showers.
All villas also have a full kitchen!
If you prefer a more private “at-home” experience, these homes generally sleep 4 people and are located in the center of Avalon.
Located in the center of town, these condos can sleep 4-8 people. All are in walking distance of the beach and include a working kitchen.
Hotel Catalina
A beautiful Victorian-style family-owned hotel with a courtyard, pool, and jacuzzi only 3 blocks from the main drag of town. Bonus: 10% off nearly every restaurant in town if you stay here!

Hermit Gulch is Avalon’s only campground.
But there are other sites throughout the island that you can either dock at, or hike to!
